Postgraduate Reviews of Courses at University of Suffolk

It is a great place to study owing to the expert faculty who makes sure that thé international students engage well.
Secondly, there should be more on campus part time job opportunities for international students and need an addition of a mini food court. Overall the university is a great place to be at. read full review
The best thing about my University experience is the incredible support on offer. It’s like every step of the way, there are multiple people holding your hands. I love and appreciate it so much.

I do not have any bad experience yet, and so really can’t place any of the good experiences as my worst. I really just hope they surpass these very high standards they’ve already set, or at least maintain them. read full review

The best aspects of the university of Suffolk would have to be the relationships formed between student and lecturer. The lecturers at the university make it their duty to know you on an individual level and ensure that you are understanding everything that is delivered in every lecture. They are a great factor in my decision to carry on studying at the university for a masters course, as they greatly supported me through my bachelor degree to a 1st class. The university also offer fantastic student services that have been paramount to making the university a more enjoyable place. They offer multiple facilities and necessities to students as the price of living continues to rise. They offer fantastic movie nights, food, drinks and other necessities to aid in this crisis and support is offered through student services to enable students to flourish in their course read full review

This is the third time I’ve attended a University. Suffolk stands out for me for the quality and commitment of the teaching and support staff to ensuring that I can attain the best grades.

I wouldn’t want change a thing.

Best - the course is really good and I've enjoyed what I have completed so far.
Worst - I suppose the campus I'm based at is outside of the town so it's a pain to get to, however it's based on an industrial location which will be advantageous before I finish my studies. read full review
There is nothing as great as hoping and seeing such dreams come to fruition as hoped or even better than expected. That was the case with my school of study- the University of Suffolk (UoS). When I selected UoS as the destination for my Masters, I not only chose the school itself, but I was by extension embracing the community of Ipswich and Suffolk as well. I believed that education transcends the classroom and is an orchestration of various experiences that will eventually coalesce into nurturing the new improved version of me. . I am glad the school were true to their words and everything was just as was advertised. The following are some of the awesome things about UoS:
1. Spirit of United Kingdom: The UK has been a land of envy for many years largely due to its heritage as the incubator for or birthplace for many of what is today known as science development, including the industrialisation and literature as well as science and technology. consuming many materials of British origin and experiencing the first hand finesse and quality of the writers was nothing short of wonder and amusement.
2. Wide range of Courses: UoS offer wide variety of course that suits different teams and aspirations without compromising quality of teaching and student preparedness for real world market realities. Workshops, filed trips, guest speaking, competition enrolment and career talks and fairs and much more are usually half from time to time to keep student engaged and reminded of the ultimate goal - impacting positively in the world we live in.
3. Excellent customer Experience: The smoothness of communication and un-invasive personal interest displayed by the admission and the on-campus teams at various touchpoint in the life of applicants and students is exceptionally noteworthy. The sign-posting in the stages of application and on various matters of interests while on campus leaves not student amiss as to the current state of affairs. Accommodation has been made relatively easy for single students with many hostels to select from. The management has also gone to extra length to provide transport to Computing and Data Science student who has to use the DIgetech Center for computing and Data-AI practical modules which is located some distance away from the main campus. Hence we are afforded the opportunity to focus on what matters most, our studies.
4. Inclusion and Diversity: This is seen and felt everywhere in the university as exhibited by the teaching and non-teaching staff. Inclusion and respect for diversity is manifested in the various colours and races admitted to study at various levels and is also seen the freedom of expression preferences in the way of life including sexual preferences which are welcomed with open arms. This shows leadership by example and teaches the students to be tolerant to embrace people from from every tribe and nation, customer and traditions as it were.
5. Heritage of Ipswich: The school is located at the waterfront, an historical location for trade with relation to river Orwell and as such an atmosphere to reflect on how the city has come thus far as well as how enduring the nation is in terms of culture and heritage. While there are numerous landmarks reminiscent of various era in UK history, I personally spend meaningful time, at the bank, taking in the serenity while reading my favourite books

Challenges Needing Improvement
1. Accommodation for Married Mature Students: This is the only area needing more attention (and of course this applies to all UK university locations) since mature and married students find it hard to get accommodation for their family. to be stressed outside school is to be stressed within school. A solution would be to have a sensitisation for houseowners to make special provisions in this regard.

As a risk manager, The Pros of UoS largely outweighs the cons and as such would choose it over again and recommend to anyone seeking admission to the UK. read full review

The Uni (especially the student union) are so supportive, I cannot emphasize the amount of support they offer.

I had chosen another university first ( for my bsc) however just after one phone call I realise the people here are so friendly which was really important to me as I was moving far away from home.

I would say the worst experience is due to accommodation within first year of my bsc however that is nothing to do with the university! read full review
I love my Uni, the student support is outstanding, there is a handful of people to support if you need help regards different things in the school which has being great for me. It makes you feel like you are part of a community and not just a number in a student population. The town is not as bubbly as I’m used to at home but it’s also a reasonably friendly place.

What can the school improve on? Probably student participation and creating social activities to increase students interactions particularly for students from out of town. read full review
