Management MSc

UNIVERSITY OF WARWICK

Ravi - February 2025

My university experience was a mixture of personal growth, unforgettable moments, and challenges. On the positive side, university gave me the freedom and independence I had never experienced before. Managing my own schedule, making decisions, and handling my finances were all part of the process that helped me grow. The friendships I formed during this time were some of the best I’ve ever had. Late-night study sessions, random hangouts, and shared experiences created lasting bonds. Academically, I had the chance to explore subjects I was passionate about, and some professors truly inspired me, pushing me to think critically. Extracurricular activities were another highlight, giving me the chance to develop new skills and engage in exciting opportunities. The social scene, with house parties, student union events, and nights out, was equally fun and provided a much-needed break from the academic pressures.

However, university wasn’t without its struggles. The academic pressure could be overwhelming, with constant deadlines and exams causing stress. At times, I felt the weight of needing to perform well, and imposter syndrome crept in, especially surrounded by so many brilliant and ambitious people. Financially, university was tough, and balancing rent, food, and social life on a student budget often meant missing out on experiences. There were moments of loneliness, especially in the beginning when I was adjusting to a new environment. The pressure to figure out my future while managing everything else at once could be overwhelming, and sometimes I felt unsure about my career path compared to others who seemed to have it all figured out.

In the end, though, my time at university was transformative. It wasn’t always easy, but it provided invaluable experiences, skills, and memories that I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life. It taught me resilience, gave me lifelong friends, and ultimately prepared me for life beyond the university.

UNIVERSITY OF WARWICK

Best- business simulation programs and opportunity to explore all kinds of stuff
Worst- online sessions which have to be more engaging read full review
The International Student Support needs to be bolstered a bit more.
I think communication between faculties could also stand to be improved. It feels like several little universities sharing a space instead of 1 cohesive organism. read full review
Best aspects would definitely be the SU, Clubs and Societies, Cultural diversity, Facilities and the Library.

There are no worst aspects. Only possible improvements in my opinion could be made in the fee structure, connectivity to campus from off campus accomodation and placement opportunities post the course. read full review
I really love the art centre and the sofa! The worst is that no one stands in line to get on the bus. read full review
The teachers at the school are very patient and friendly, but the location of the school is relatively remote. read full review
I really appreciate the kind support provided by the university. It genuinely cares about students' well-being and mental health, which makes me feel valued and secure.
One area that could be improved is the self-study environment. Every time I visit the library, there are often people chatting and laughing, which can be quite distracting. Additionally, when I need to step away for a short break, I always worry about the safety of my belongings. I believe addressing these issues would greatly enhance the study experience. read full review
the research facilities are great for my research interests - I think more money would be useful into resources, however funding is a nationwide issue rather than warwick specific read full review
It has fantastic facilities, a brilliant campus and endless opportunitities to craft your university life into exactly what you want, I love that aspect of Warwick. The tutor system could be a bit more regulated

There are lots of data resources on the library website; if you have the passion to research and explore more via these, it could help you a lot. On the other hand, the teaching quality of WMG is not good enough based on the high tuition fee which is expensive for international student. The university and the department have great reputation, but they recruit too many students which devalues the learning outcomes students acquire. Besides, a great deal of Mandarin speaking students are recruited who mostly would no like to speak English in daily life. This phenomenon makes the cultural interactions and communications worse than that I imagined. In conclusion, I feel that the university just would like to earn lots of money by recruiting tremendous students and maintain their reputation by focusing on high-value research. read full review
