We are looking for from our postgraduate applicants is first of all a great deal of enthusiasm, because a postgraduate study is a big commitment. It's a big undertaking, and one does a postgraduate study to enhance their own career in terms of going into research or perhaps industries. So what we want from our students is dedication and enthusiasm.
Of course there are eligibility requirements. We are very stringent in terms of our eligibility requirements. We do want our students to have at least a good second class degree that's at least, you know. Often we're very selective, so we look for something extra in their profile. We look for what kind of aptitude they have, the scientific aptitude.
When it comes to our PhD students, we carefully interview them because we want to ensure that the students understand what they are getting into and we have a clear idea about the needs and the requirements of the students' research proposal, the depth of that clear road map, whether or not there is a mileage in getting into that area when it comes to a PhD. We have those requirements for our PhD admissions.
Well, what about career jobs? Actually, I'm delighted to say that we have a very good track record. I can site a case where a student finished his master's degree and he's now placed with Oracle in Canada as a database analyst. Another student who finished his master's degree is working for Barclay's Bank in the IT wing. One of our recent PhD students just completed barely a few months ago, only in December, he finished his PhD and three weeks after finishing his PhD he was offered a job by IBM in California, so he's now placed there. So we have a very good track record of employability.
