Something I really like about this school is the fact that its at the center of everything, but far away from the bustling city life. the library is well equipped, great porters, good lounges and get-away places to read and eat. banks and every other thing you could possibly ask for. read full review

Every single university has strong departments among with some not that good departments. The same is here. You might call me biased as I'm going to be a fresher this year, but from everything I read, Lancaster's power is in the Business/Management School. Lanc Management School and one more business department of university (cant remember the name) are the only rated 6* schools in the UK. And talking about research quality, lets take a look in RAE 2008 UNIT 36 Business and Managemenet Studies. It looks like Manchester, Warwick and Cardiff are the only universities with more overall research points. So what does that mean? That none of the so called ""top 10"" universities pay enough attention to researches and those researches show how up-to-date the teaching is read full review

The school has a really serene environment for learning, its an historic city so don't expect too much fun, they have quite a lot of clubs and societies in the school, quite a lot of banks and stores in the school to get what you want. read full review

The university is absolutely fantastic I enjoy the life in Lancaster. The lecturers and seminars are mostly helpful to us but a few of them may not be. The university holds plenty of activities which are attractive. I just think raising the tuition fee over and over is not a good idea. Sometimes the university should give some more help on international students for their future careers. read full review

In the learning zone they should change the sitting because it falls apart ! also I think the shops and restaurants at uni are very expensive and useless because there are so many international students there should be more restaurants that are for other cultures friendly not only English food !!! read full review

The university is very good, one of the top ranked universities in the uk. The management school in particular is known to be highly ranked being top for marketing and 4th for accounting and finance. The university is located in a very good area, very safe and quiet also the campus isn't seperated to different places making it easier to get around.
