Postgraduate Reviews of Courses at London South Bank University

Great location to access in London, and good quality facilities - i.e. canteen, library, classrooms etc. Staff are kind and seem experienced in their field, however some assignments are quite difficult for their level and some modules could benefit from better organisation with the reading list - don't just list the essential books but actually list the chapters of specific books to read on a weekly basis to provide better order and structure. This is critical for someone who is non-cognate and already working full-time, I have limited time to scour all ten 'essential' books each 400+ pages, it can be quite stressful, and overwhelming to know where to start. read full review
The installations are old, there are leaks coming from the room on a corridor.
Some Professors do not support students with learning difficulties and do not even reply to emails nor explain properly in tutorials read full review
Very disorganised, last minute room and timetable changes. Being told different things by lecturers read full review
I get to work and study in the same place, which is excellent for my work-life balance, especially since the campus is 15 minutes by bike from where I live. The lecturers and my supervisor are supportive; they even call me late in the evening to help support me with my dissertation and I feel so blessed to have a great bunch of people who love their job to nurture and teach something they clearly love doing. The library is amazing and really puts me in the mood to study. I think I do my best work there. read full review
The teaching method

Improved : more in depth discussion during class read full review
I like the people I study with as well as our teachers. I enjoy the classes and I think it is nice to have seminar classes which are supportive of the classes and we get to have type of hands on experience about the things we have learned. I enjoy there are a lot of group exercises with our friends which eases the process of learning.

Architecture of the building is very nice, very spacey and relaxing. I also like the library a lot.

University location is perfect, after the classes it is easy to reach central locations.

There are food offers/deals for students to enjoy for good price.

There could be more events for students to gather and could be more international student events. read full review
Best experience has been the overall environment. Worst one is the mylsbu app. I could not check-in multiple times
