I come from Madagascar, an island located in the Southern African region in the Indian Ocean. In my country, English is the third language, with French as the second, and Malagasy as our local official language. Additionally, Madagascar is one of the most underdeveloped countries in the world.

I earned my Master's degree in Theology from our national theological faculty before pursuing a second Master's level course at the Cambridge Centre for Christianity Worldwide (CCCW). I am deeply grateful and honored to have been admitted here, and I extend my thanks to the CCCW Board for this opportunity.

My journey at CCCW has been marked by several meaningful experiences:

Despite my background, I have never felt excluded. I am welcomed as part of the community, and my classmates are genuinely understanding and supportive.

English proficiency is required for students from countries where English is not the first language. I am deeply thankful to my professors and classmates for their patience, as they recognize both my efforts and my progress in achieving academic-level English. I have never felt judged, and I am committed to improving daily.

Lastly, the support, guidance, and attention from the professors have been invaluable. I truly admire their dedication and the advice they offer as they assist us throughout our studies. read full review

Love it despite stress! Excited for year abroad! Quite flexible with modules too. The accommodation is quite basic, some 1970s building that could be more energy efficient/cleaner/more aesthetically pleasing! The city life id good for exploring, going shopping, cycling if there's enough time with all the work! It would be great to have more printers and computers though in terms of facilities. The clubs and societies are good, I have joined the college lacrosse, boat club, university french and German societies. However, the student's union don't integrate students/bring us together/hold events like at other unis. I haven't really used the support services here, but there are definitely lots of places/people I feel I can see if needed. I hope overall that getting a job won't be too hard but it also depends on my grades. read full review

The people are great, the Modern and Medieval Language course could be hugely improved and contain more language however the best part of the course is my year abroad. We have very beautiful buildings for accommodation and there are good facilities; good price for what is offered. The student's union is okay, but I'm not very involved, I have however joined ADC, language societies and dance societies. The counseling support service. However, maybe more contact time could be made available. read full review
