UNIVERSITY OF ST ANDREWS

Student Reviewer - March 2015

St Answers can be a brilliant destination for someone who wants to experience the close knitted community. I myself do like the fact that there are always some people you know around but sometimes it can get very claustrophobic - due to the lack of choice. This is a huge problem in St andrews. Intense of accommodation and life style in particular. My advice is you need to understand the Dynamic of the town , and and that you will be committed for at least 4 years here. Overall I don't quite enjoy university as much asi had imagined I would by coming here. Lecturers are good quality Accommodation is over priced, over crowded and bad quality. City has not enough night life options. We need more space the university is over crowded read full review

St Andrews university is a truly unique place where you can walk down the street and struggle to see locals. It's a student town, and that's the best thing about it Its a little far from most places but dont be scared, you'll get used to it. read full review

St Andrews has a wonderful community feel but could definitely use a better library . Society life is an integral part of the university experience. In one area st andrews really excels in especially the management society. read full review

People in the management department (post grads) are mostly German and even though everyone measures themselves in grades, the evaluation standards to judge others by and social status for many people. Also people are quite competitive in their class to get the top grades, and always aim for nothing lower than a Distinction. Limited community life in the post grad school of management community. read full review

Really enjoying life in St. Andrews. It has great opportunities. Lots of new and novel experiences. I would recommend joining a club if you come here (Shinty!) as it offers a brilliant social life outside of study. But if you like the chuckle brothers go to Warwick because they go to lots of student events. So the choice is yours. read full review
