My course is very stressfull and disorganised. If it weren't for tutors and friends, I would have dropped out. Although the best thing about my course are the enthusiastic lecturers, and the sense of reward that teaching brings. The accomodation is relatively cheap for Liverpool city centre however bills & repairs are more expensive. The Library is great but needs more resources to support the volume of students. It also catches me out with fines far too often. I would rate the Student's Union highly, although I don't have as much time to get involved as I'd like to! We have finance, emotional and academic support available at Edge Hill, although I can't access these as I have lecturers 9-6 when on campus read full review

My English Language and Creative Langauge course has guest speakers that come into lectures which is one of my favourite things about it, in addition to my creative writing seminars. The campus is reasonably close to the train station so getting into the city isn't difficult, but not many people do so. I have joined a musical society but it was cancelled two weeks into semester. I've been to the student union once so havent really formed an opinion. There is support and guidance available at the SU or student support although I do not find it particularly helpful. read full review

The poster presentations on my course are particularly good and I find there is a lot of different support at Edge Hill. Although for job prospects my degree doesn't really qualify me in anything. read full review

My experience has been brilliant glad I came. The best thing about my creative writing course is the poetry, script and section classes. The accomodation is very good value, its similar to what I've always lived in, I enjoy book shopping in the city. read full review

My experience has been fine, simply a means to an end, the best thing about my PGCE course is the school based element. The accomodation however is extremely expensive and the student union seems to be quite vocal and visual. Although with support services there seems to be a lot of administrative hoops to jump through. read full review

As I have finished uni now, the best thing I have left the uni with is the delectable set of friends I've made. Some of the course content, and some tutors are the best thing about my course, but once again mostly the friends I have made. The students' union services are temporal as nothing works smoothly or you don't get the help you need. The accommodation is not very good value but it's the fellow students that make up for the lack of facilities in that area. Support services are plenty, but none of this support has been used efficiently in my case. read full review
