LINCOLN BISHOP UNIVERSITY

Student Reviewer - November 2025

Lincoln Bishop uni is amazing. As soon as you walk onto campus I feel right at home. Everyone wants to get to know you as a student and not just another number. All the lecturers and support staff are so supportive. read full review
Bishop Grosseteste university (BGU) is located in Lincoln LN2 3DY. BGU is a compact university and very easy for students to navigate. There are sign boards at different locations, showing direction to different buildings. This makes it very easy to find your way around without having to ask lots of questions.

The lecturers are amazing. They are approachable and are willing to assist students. They respond to students emails and follow up with conversation after class or on the walk walk.

State of the equipment is used to lecture and the library offers lots of resources. Hard and soft copies are available for students to use.

The person responsible for international students was absolutely fabulous. She responded timely to my emails and made me feel welcomed before I arrived and met her in person.

The school accomodation is topnotch.
However, the accommodation team need to improve on their interpersonal skill as they fail to see the struggle of international students. When international students send emails requesting information that concerns their finance, it takes a very long time to get a response. Sometimes students visit their office and they promise to get back. Still it takes a long while.
Most international students staying in the school accomodation are leaving and no effort has been made by the accommodation team to find out why.
If the accommodation team can respond to emails on time, try to have conversations with students on how they enjoy the accommodation facilities and if they have any complains, this will go a long way in helping students. Students may not get what they request for, but the effort in reaching out to students will reduce the exodus of students from the university accomodation. read full review

As I commute to uni, there's little I can comment on for student life and the students' union. The campus is a nice size and has a fairly modern feel to it; however, in some buildings, the room numbers have no correlation, which can make it hard to get around and figure out what building the room is even in. read full review
There’s a lot of student support generally speaking, you feel welcomed and sustained in your journey. There’s generally lot of effort to meet students needs and wishes and to provide a high quality educational experience. The location makes it hard to provide nearby placement schools, it might help to provide a clearer and more supportive plan for the students who are asked to travel longer distances. read full review
In my opinion, BGU is a good university. My mentor has been really supportive and helpful. As an international student I really appreciate the environment she has created for our PGCE group as everyone can express their views and feel respected. read full review
