The experience is great at bgu read full review
The university is the most supportive and inclusive I'm so proud to be a student at this institution! read full review
BGU has good facilities such as the library and refectory. Free parking is an added bonus for those living further away as it is one less cost to worry about. One thing that could be improved is making sure lecture rooms are big enough to fit classes in. read full review
Best Aspects:
The campus is beautiful. Lush green trees and plenty of outdoor space when you need to escape for abit.
The library and the library staff are excellent. It's well stocked and staff are always willing to help. There are also no overdue fines which is great when you are on placement and can't always make it back on time.
The lecturers are extremely helpful and always answer queries quickly.
The university has alot of extras to help with cpd. BGU futures and Celt are always willing to help.
Worst Aspects: these are not worse aspects, but perhaps minor issues.
Accomodation is limited due to the size of the campus.
The campus is fairly far from the city centre, but still close to amenities.
The cost of printing is extortionate. read full review
Lots of support. But lack of options for food on campus. read full review

Best aspect is the support, over the past 3 and a half years at bishop Grosseteste university I have never felt more welcome especially when comparing to the experiences of others at other universities. Whether it be academic or mental and social support I feel like I always have someone or some guidance to turn to from every person in the university. I know others do too. I like the career opportunities and how friendly everyone is, students and staff. They really do live up to the standard they set when they say you’re not a number, your a name, an individual. I would recommend this uni to anyone.
Worst aspects may have to be because it is a small uni, in a small city for some it could be seen to lack certain opportunities that bigger cities have however that is why there are a variety of universities for people to choose from. I initially chose to go to BGU for my undergraduate degree because I felt more comfortable in a smaller, more secure campus with a community feel and it certainly has given me that and more, as my confidence has grown.
I think there could be more opportunities for a wider variety of societies as well as there is a high amount of mainly sport and art societies over others as that was never something that I felt I clicked with.
I will say I do really like the connections BGU has with the University of Lincoln and the city they both share. I have made many life long friends through my studies in the university and my student life connecting with the University of Lincoln. read full review
BG is like a small village, previous to my PGCE I also studies Education Studies BA(Hons) which a full family was created. Everytime I go back to campus I am filled with joy over my success and the community that has been built around my studies. The only thing I dread with this uni around this time of year if the assignment due at the beginning of January. I have done this every year I have studied and this year I have got the hang of it. I love BG, it was my top choice to study at and I’m glad it was. BG and Lincoln have definitely become my second home. read full review
