Postgraduate Reviews of Courses at Lincoln Bishop University

BGU is such a good place to study. I am impressed with the facilities in place, the facilities are there to ensure the student's academic, physical, and emotional wellbeing are catered for.

In terms of catering for the academic wellbeing of the student and ensuring the student's academic success, BGU provided a well equipped library, both a physical library and an e-library which makes it possible for you to access the library from anywhere and at any time. BGU also has wonderful instructors - they believe in the uniqueness of each student, teach in such way to ensure complete understanding of the modules and and are always available to provide one to one support. BGU also has a learning development centre which has the role of assisting the students in their academic journey to ensure academic success.

In terms of the physical wellbeing, BGU has GYM with free membership for students. BGU also has a football team, a cricket team and so on. So these facilities are there to ensure the physical fitness of the students.

In terms of the emotional well being, BGU has counsellors that you can talk to about any issues bothering you from financial issues, emotional problems, social problems and so on.

The area of improvement should be in the area of tuition fees payment plan. They need to have a more flexible tuition fees payment plan, and be less rigid in that regard.

Those are my thoughts.

Thank you. read full review
Best aspects: v. good support, intimate campus, v. good facilities, good guest speakers.

As an international student, I feel I get excellent support from all staff (tutors, international officer, placement officer, etc.) read full review
The best experience is the atmosphere of the university. it's quite calm and soothing.

The worst experience is the placement outside the city to daily go on minibus which takes almost 50 mins to reach the school. as it is the part of my PGCE course. read full review
The mentors are very supportive and help a lot. Updates each week from the university on what should be expected for hand in or completion, as there is quite a lot of workload to keep on top of. read full review
Being an international student, I thrive on information and support because everything can be strange in a foreign land. I can say without mincing words that BGU stands out in this area. Many of us applied to different schools before being accepted by BGU. From the moment one applies to BGU, the international department takes you by the hand and walks you through every hurdle until you arrive on campus. The continuous support to this day is beyond words. This is the best place to study. read full review
So far, I have had an amazing experience at BGU. To start with, the facilities are impressive. All classrooms are well-equipped and modern. The university grounds are appealing and inviting with lots of green and neat areas. There are also lots of opportunities for entertainment (sports centre, coffee shop, etc.). As an international student, I have felt supported by all members of staff (international office, finance, lecturers, etc.). Although as a PGCE student I can't participate much in activities organized by the Students' Union, I get to know about them through their announcements on the university platform and on social media as well.

I would only suggest lecturers improving the training on how PGCE students should use the eRPD, since it was not clear to all students when starting our placement. read full review
