Postgraduate Reviews of Courses at University of Stirling

Personally I am enjoying university. it is a fun life style and provides me with excellent career prospects. Despite not living on or near campus I still enjoy the experience of being a student. My advice to new students would be to make the most of the opportunities here and to make lots of friends, but remember why you are here and remain focused. read full review
Good opportunities - variety of subjects which appeal to the masses and the individual subject discipline and specialities. I would recommend coming here. read full review

Love it here. You don't really need to leave campus. Everything is here in one place, which is fantastic and useful too. I would recommend my course and the university. read full review
I've enjoyed my course subejct. The lecturers have made everything interesting. I don't stay on campus, the town centre is good, lots of useful shops, and the university has great sports facilities, as well as a good union. read full review

Accommodation is too expensive, and it really isnt value for money, the rooms are cold and damp and I keep getting chest infections! I enjoy the social aspects of this uni, however as it progresses and the course gets harder it becomes less sociable. Id say the key thing about uni life is to choose a course that you will enjoy,if you do the whole experience will be amazing! read full review
I enjoy coming to uni but the work load is hard so make sure that you're prepared for that. Freshers week is bigged up and is a bit of an anti climax to be honest, don't make it the sole reason for coming to uni.. The party lifestyle is a bonus but remember there are deadlines! Warning: If you wish to attend Stirling be proprepared for the NIGHMARE THAT IS THE CARPARK. read full review

I am enjoying every aspect of my uni experience so far. However I sometimes feel that lectures and tutors don't give us enough help with assignments, even when we request it. The most important thing is to prepare yourself mentally, you get told one thing in school but its acompletely different life game. read full review

At first I was nervous and scared about starting university, it seemed really daunting and I was apprehensive. Then I got here, everyone was super kind, friendly and welcoming there is someone always willing to help you and soon enough everything became really easy, there are lots of services available to us and the student union are particularly helpful, my tutors are nice and put alot of time into the lectures, Stirling is beautiful and there is plenty to do. read full review

I live at home so I can't comment on the accommodation, I am not part of any clubs or societies nor do I really use the union - but it is there! It is a lovely place to study. Highly recommended for my course and in general. read full review
Very good university. Think that everything is structured well and beautiful campus. Think that there might be some areas of improvement like lighting around the loch and to ally court but overall very nice university. Academic wise would whole heartily choose here again. read full review
