Postgraduate Reviews of Courses at University of Warwick

The Applied Linguistics community is wonderful (I decided to do my Master's here after finishing the BA course) and the research-centered curriculum is incredibly helpful.
The overall university administration system could definitely improved though, very often we get information quite late (e.g. exam timetable) and sometimes when things go wrong we don't get communication in a timely manner (e.g. some final year results were not made available at the promised date last year and we never got an explanation, our marks just showed up 3 days later). read full review

UNIVERSITY OF WARWICK

Eleftheria - October 2024

The University is great and welcoming! The drawback is the transport to and from the campus, which is not always very frequent read full review
Lecture halls and library are well furnished and spacy, ideal for lectures and studying.
Some buildings are old and don't have blackboards. read full review
Our university provides plenty of choices for us . read full review
Most of the roads in our school are very flat and the campus environment is very clean, which makes me feel very comfortable. I can see some disabled students going to class in wheelchairs. In fact, they can go anywhere in the school without any obstacles, which makes me very moved. Tampons and baby diapers are also provided in the female toilets of our art center, which greatly facilitates women. read full review
Good academics but bad student support read full review
The University of Warwick is a great place to study because it combines strong academics with a lively, welcoming atmosphere. The university is known for its top-quality teaching and research, especially in subjects like business, economics, and engineering. The campus is modern and has everything students need, from well-equipped libraries to relaxing green spaces. There’s also a real sense of community, with students from all over the world, making it a diverse and inclusive environment. Plus, Warwick’s connections with industries mean there are plenty of opportunities for internships, placements, and networking, which really help students build their careers. However, there are a few areas where Warwick could improve. The cost of living, particularly campus accommodation, can be quite high, and with rising living expenses in Coventry, it’s something students have to carefully manage. Public transport to the campus is available but could be better, with more frequent services making it easier to get around. Some students have also found the university’s administrative processes, like course registration or visa paperwork, to be a bit slow at times. Additionally, there’s a need for more student housing, especially for postgraduates. Finally, while Warwick is taking steps to be more sustainable, there’s room to do more in terms of green initiatives on campus. Despite these challenges, Warwick offers an enriching experience, both academically and socially. If these areas were improved, it would make the university an even better place to study and enjoy. read full review
The facilities and buildings of the school are great, but I think there are too few supermarkets or shopping places inside Warwick University, especially for food. Different countries have different food preferences, especially for international students who seem to have limited food choices. If Warwick University had more options and diverse food choices, it would definitely be more popular among students and staff. Secondly, regarding student support and student union, I believe most of them are already sufficient. The school building has been in use for some time, but regular renovation and maintenance are necessary. The appearance of the library didn't really surprise me, but the scale of the library is fantastic. I think the best place is the scenery of Warwick University. No matter where it is, it is so beautiful that people can't resist taking photos. The design of the college building is also great. I think going through a one-year course here would be a great choice. read full review
Warwick is a great school to study, but is a little bit far away from big cities. read full review
Best: the support from accommodation is very good and quick.
Worst: most of the classmates, like more than 80%, are from the same country read full review
