Postgraduate Reviews of Courses at University of Warwick

I think it's also about where I come from (Malawi). We don't have great facilities and environment for study so Warwick is a great switch for me read full review
The student support should be improved. The team replies late and does not often understand situations. One more thing that needs improvement is the Health Centre. The person who sits there is quite rude read full review
The university has very lovely buildings and study spaces that motivate me to study a lot more independently than at my undergraduate university. The professors are also very keen on answering any queries that students have that have allowed me to make sure that I fully understand the content and never feel lost. Something that has not been as nice is that some rooms used for workshops feel more like a lecture hall, which makes discussion with my peers about seminar questions rather difficult as we are not sitting facing each other. read full review

It's just been a month, but so far, I really enjoyed the study space environment. Meeting new people from diverse regionalities makes the university culture even more special, and I loved meeting new people with different educational backgrounds. The one thing which I'm not too fond of here is nothing is free..everything is chargeable read full review

Transportation could be improved. read full review
Best Aspects:

Academic Excellence: The School of Engineering is renowned for its high-quality teaching and research. The faculty are experts in their fields and provide excellent guidance and support to students. The curriculum is challenging yet rewarding, and the focus is on practical application and problem-solving.
Research Opportunities: Warwick offers numerous opportunities for students to engage in research projects, both independently and under the supervision of faculty members. This hands-on experience is invaluable for developing research skills and gaining exposure to cutting-edge research.
Campus Life: The Warwick campus is beautiful and vibrant, with a wide range of facilities and activities. The student union is active and organizes a variety of events and societies, providing plenty of opportunities to meet new people and get involved in the campus community.
Location: Warwick is located in Coventry, a city with a rich history and culture. The city is also well-connected to other parts of the UK and Europe, making it easy to explore and travel.
Worst Aspects:

Competition: The School of Engineering is a highly competitive environment, and it can be challenging to keep up with the workload. However, the support from faculty and peers can help students overcome these challenges.
Housing: Finding affordable and suitable accommodation can be difficult, especially for first-year students. The university does offer some accommodation options, but competition for these places can be high.
Workload: The workload can be heavy at times, especially during exam periods. However, effective time management and organization can help students manage their workload and achieve their goals. read full review

Great support from the pgbio team and head of PGR. Good lab facilities that have what you need.
SU is good during term but for those students still studying through the traditional non-term times, it feels like the SU abandon us. They could be much clearer with opening times when they vary, especially over the summer when things sporadically close without notice (not on the website or social media). read full review
