Postgraduate Reviews of Courses at University of Staffordshire

Lovely facilities, supportive staff and great courses read full review
There's not much for students to actually do around Stoke. That's the biggest issue
The location is nice, it's right off the motorway/dual carriage way so it's convenient. It's next to the train station so easy if you don't have a car.
The campus feels dated, however I give it a 4* since they are building a new student village which looks amazing read full review
I have been offered no formal PhD induction and therefore I feel under prepared with a dis-engagement from other PhD students. The library is also not as inviting as some other universities. read full review
Student support is accessible and supportive.
The location is close to a train station which is helpful.
The course is the right balance of learning and applying knowledge to practice.

Areas for improvement - More canteen space, this is limited and can be difficult when lots of people have breaks at the same time. read full review
Lecturers are knowledgeable, car parking is good and as I studied at staffs as an undergraduate staffs u I always feels like coming home.

Blackheath lane campus has no hot food counters now and there is no student uni representation here. I feel like there is no true undergrad experience here since the main Stafford campus closed. read full review
The best part has been applying what I learn at uni straight into the classroom and seeing it make a difference for my students. The hardest part is balancing teaching with uni work, but it’s taught me a lot about managing my time and staying organised. read full review
