UNIVERSITY OF STAFFORDSHIRE

An excellent institution where the supportive faculty help students grow and reach their full potential. read full review
Starting university at 36 after years as a prison officer was daunting. Transitioning back into education felt like a mountain I wasn't sure I could climb, and in those early days, I seriously considered dropping out. However, the support I received from my tutors was the turning point. They didn't just teach; they provided the reassurance and confidence boosts I needed to believe I belonged there. That overwhelming support sustained me through the challenges, and four years later, I am proud to say I graduated with a First Class degree in Cyber Security.

The low point of my experience was a breakdown in communication regarding learning styles. When I realized a particular teaching method wasn’t working for me, I proactively sought supplementary help from the library. Unfortunately, this was met with hostility rather than encouragement. The lecturer chose to address the situation by "outing" me in front of the entire class, using an unpleasant and unprofessional tone to insist that all issues be brought to them first. It was a discouraging moment that lacked the pedagogical maturity I expected at a university level. read full review
I don't have a bad experience yet but my best experience is the support from the student union for international students and the programs organized read full review

The‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ most enjoyable aspect of my university journey has been the caring environment-lecturers and staff are both friendly, supportive, and always available to help and guide students. The varied student community and the practical, "learning by doing" method have also been great ways to make my studies more interesting and engaging. I am really impressed with the university facilities, especially the library and the study areas, which make it a nice place to learn. There is only one point that could be raised for the university to improve, and that is the communication about different kinds of events or system changes, because sometimes the students get the information a little bit late. More workshops and career-support sessions for international students would also be great. In general, it has been a very good experience for ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌me. read full review
The courses and uni facilities are good, i just think the social aspect with no club nights anymore and general prices don’t appeal too much read full review
Beat is the academics in the Games Department as well as the communities formed through clubs and societies. The general atmosphere is also inclusion and feels safe for me.
Improvements that would be great to see would be more affordable food on campus and more lap availability outside of class time. read full review
Best aspects were the inclusivity, being able to create student groups have not only helped people come together on campus, but to create new friendships and relationships between each other. We had a lot of on campus opportunities for both experiences and chances to grow your personal brand and yourself. I would say the local location is very off putting, especially with the city as it isn't the most appealing for activities to do. read full review
