CS with Business Management

UNIVERSITY OF BIRMINGHAM

Student Reviewer - February 2015

I must say I have adapted quickly and I enjoy my student life. I think sports wise the facilities could be improved. The SU is very involved in students' way of living and studying. I have heard that there are lots of societies and clubs available to join. My accommodation is good, except for my flatmates behaviour. The opportunities to get a job are given to you but its mostly up to you. I love shopping, discovering new places and having fun in the city. read full review

I have had a good experience - I have very good, social and approachable teachers. The best thing about my course is that I got to choose the modules I wanted. The accommodation is good but a bit expensive. This uni has great facilities! But could have longer hours in the law library. I have joined the Unicef society. There is support for internship prospects and personal support through tutors. Whether it is easy to get a job or not depends on what type of career you want. I like going shopping in the city. read full review

The best thing about my course is the field trip! I love the library and the room for studying in groups. I am part of the English club for foreign students (which is awesome!) and Zumba club as well! I enjoy shopping in the city centre. read full review
Overall uni is enjoyable but my course is disappointing. The best thing about my course are the graduate prospects. I enjoy going to the city to watch sport. The uni sport facilities could improve (the gym is being built now) and there should be a greater emphasis on keeping red-brick buildings. The SU needs to involve students more in elections. It is very hard to get a job anywhere but Birmingham Uni fairs well against most universities. I am part of the Redbrick paper sports reporter, personal skills award, investment and Econ Soc. read full review

Uni is very good. My lectures are well structured and the uni facilities are always developing. The SU facilities are also good. The city centre has lots to investigate too. My accommodation is too expensive compared to other. There is good support if required and the unis reputation will help to get a job. I joined the music and departmental society. read full review

BSc Business Management

UNIVERSITY OF BIRMINGHAM

Student Reviewer - February 2015

My experience has been unreal but hard but I like the social aspect of my course. I have joined the football club and the gym at my uni. The gym and library are old but are being refurbished and the SU is alright. When I was in accommodation it was brand new and had reduced rent but not its cost has dramatically risen. Students can get advice from support services. There are a wide range of restaurants to visit in the city. read full review

Business with Arabic

UNIVERSITY OF BIRMINGHAM

Student Reviewer - February 2015

Love B'ham! I would highly recommend this uni to others. However there are a limited use of resources (e.g. lectures are not recorded). More technology facilities could also be made available. The student union is fun, has good resources and the people are helpful. The halls here are excellent. The bars, restaurants and cinemas are good in the city - there's a huge variety of things to do. I have joined the dance, debate and business societies. There is academic, career, social and legal support. There are helpful career services and the uni is recognized so it will be easy to get a job. read full review

Human Biology

UNIVERSITY OF BIRMINGHAM

My lectures include up-to-date and relevant course content. The cheapest accommodation is cheap and affordable. There are good music venues in the city and Selly Oak has great pubs. The facilities will be great when the new library is built and will have more computers. I don't think the student union represents the student body effectively. There is good support for students with dyslexia from the support services. I have joined the Burn Fun society - the best radio station in the West Midlands. read full review
