The facilities are generally very good although some small tweaks would have a big impact. It seems impossible to link Bluetooth headphones to the lab computers, which is quite restrictive as some lab content is provided in video format. This means having to use a phone/tablet/personal computer to access the content, or buying a pair of wired headphones. There aren't enough charging points in labs either, which means if you are forced to use your personal computer, you are then at the mercy of the battery... not a great situation during 2-hour lab sessions.

The campus looks great with beautiful scenery all around and it's clear that the university is investing in infrastructure improvements and facility upgrades. read full review

I didn't really know what to expect when I was coming to the University of Stirling, but after spending a semester and summer here I can only say it has been quite an experience. The University designed a really great zero unit course that gave deep insights on everything that is expected from us as a student and also importantly how it is going to support every step of the way to make it possible. Also, the modules are well structured with very approachable professors. With vast library resources, student learning services help, sessions and events all around campus, it didn't feel so overwhelming as it could have been as an international student. I was never alone.

However, one thing that could have been done better is the mental health support. I was able to access this support but it wasn't delivered in the way I would have wanted and sessions were really limited. Other than this, I love Stirling and I could not have chosen a better place to study.

The university is perfect to study as it is calm. I love the environment, so clean and fresh. There are all the facilities available right from eatables to access to computers. The library is amazing. The students union hosts interesting activities to keep the energy high. There are a lot of opportunities to socialize and feel good. read full review

MSc Investment Analysis

The University of Stirling has a gorgeous campus and some really great facilities. They're always doing regular investments into the campus to make it more beautiful and comfortable for the students. Student life is just okay. It's kind of difficult to feel at home in societies, and most that aren't sporting get minimal funding or attention from the uni. The food options are low quality and expensive. It's also a challenge to find food that caters to specific dietary needs that aren't veganism. The library is always full - too busy to comfortably study most of the time. Lecturers are underpaid and unmotivated, most of the time, which comes through in the teaching. It's often difficult to get meetings in place for essential mental-health purposes - for example, I have to wait until November for the assessment meeting for my Masters ARUUA, which is unsuitable since I had an ARUUA with this university since my undergrad last year and I have exams in October for which I won't have the required additional time.
The uni provides (in my experience) unrivalled careers support. The lady who's responsible for the service works very hard to provide interactive workshops, 1-1s, and access to links and websites for careers development that my friends at other universities do not get the same free access to, such as CareerSet and GraduatesFirst. You can book in for next-day meetings and interview practice with this service. read full review

The staff have quite helpful in terms of adapting their teaching materials with the intention of matching the International students in their class. This has been very helpful to me as an International student considering they speak at a much faster pace than my home country.

A way to better improve would be for tutors to repeat questions asked by other fast speaking students in class so the other not so fast speakers would be benefit from hearing the question and better appreciate the answers given by the lecturer. read full review
