Postgraduate Reviews of Courses at University of Greenwich

The course doesn't feel aligned, many assignments look a lot alike, and often teachers are explaining the same theories/models. It feels like the teachers and lectures are just put together without clear alignment read full review
The Best Aspects:

As an MSc student, the industry-focused curriculum and professional expertise of the lecturers are top-tier. Studying at the historic Greenwich Campus is incredibly inspiring, and the Stockwell Street Library offers excellent, modern facilities. The diverse, international community makes networking feel global from day one.

Areas for Improvement:

The administrative response times could be faster, and expanding 24/7 library access year-round would better support postgraduate students balancing work and study. read full review
The campus is amazing and it looks very beautiful, professors are very friendly and nice read full review
Best aspects of my University of Greenwich experience:
• Location + atmosphere: Being in London (and around the Greenwich area) makes studying feel connected to real culture, architecture, museums, talks, and opportunities. It doesn’t feel “isolated” like some campuses.
• Supportive tutors and studio culture (especially on creative courses): When you show up consistently, ask questions, and bring your work in progress, you get real, useful feedback that pushes your thinking forward.
• Facilities + learning spaces: The studios and workshops make a big difference for hands-on work, and the library/study spaces are solid when you need to lock in.
• Diverse community: You meet people from different backgrounds, which actually improves group work and the way you think and design/argue ideas.
• Independence: You’re trusted to manage your time and develop your own direction, which is challenging but prepares you for real work.

Worst aspects / things that could be improved:
• Admin can be slow or unclear: Timetables, room changes, bookings, and email responses can sometimes feel last-minute or confusing.
• Inconsistent communication across modules: Different tutors/modules can have different expectations, so deadlines and marking criteria don’t always feel equally clear unless you chase it.
• Pressure around deadlines: There can be weeks where several submissions stack up, and it becomes more about survival than learning.
• More structured careers support (especially for placements): There are opportunities in London, but it can feel like you have to discover everything yourself. More targeted links to internships, networking, and industry mentorship would help.
• Access to equipment/workshops: When demand is high, booking slots can be competitive—more availability or clearer booking systems would improve the experience.

How it could be improved (practical ideas):
• Clearer, more consistent module briefs and marking rubrics
• Faster, more joined-up admin + communications
• Better industry connections (guest speakers, alumni mentoring, placement pipelines)
• More workshop/equipment access during peak submission periods read full review
The best part is the academic atmosphere here and the lecturers are so professional and the worst thing is the university campus, I study in the Medway campus and the location is so awful read full review

The campus has excellent lab facilities and highly supportive faculty, which makes it a very motivating place to study. It could be improved by offering more quiet study spaces, especially during exam periods read full review
Anything related to academics will be supported and clarified as early as possible. The environment matters a lot when you study, so the exterior of the college and its location makes it one of its kind to study with peace of mind.

The only bad experience I’ve had is with a summer study abroad program. It was way too unorganised, the criteria’s change every week. New ways of paying and applying every day. Nothing will be clarified on time which leaves us all with way too many loose ends to deal with. read full review
The faculty and the support they provide is great. read full review
