Postgraduate Reviews of Courses at The University of Law

Good.

My advice is to enjoy it for what it will give you. It has plenty of flaws but it wins in the most important areas, that is to provide you with the education that you need to succeed. For that it is brilliant. read full review

THE UNIVERSITY OF LAW

Sadia - February 2020

It has been great, wish I could have focused on studies full time but unfortunately not the case, as I believe I would have performed better if it wasn’t for all the full time work commitment. read full review
More of a college than a university (Bloomsbury Campus) but for the GDL and/or LPC it is fine. Wouldn't recommend for an undergraduate since there is no campus. Teachers are either very good or dire with no in-between. Mostly, the other staff are helpful. read full review
Although the course is very intense, the support from staff is amazing and they really help to make you feel like the work is manageable. Although the building and facilities might be slightly outdated, the quality of the teaching more than makes up for it. read full review
It has been pretty good although very intense at times. The only thing that I would say is that the university does not provide enough amenities for those who can't afford to buy lunch every day. While the staff have a kitchen with a kettle and a few microwaves, all the students have is an overpriced cafe. When students asked for a microwave, we were told it would be a health hazard. I am not sure why this is considering almost all other universities have microwaves without issue. read full review

Legal Practice Course LPC

THE UNIVERSITY OF LAW

Student Reviewer - February 2020

Terrible. I have hated the majority of the time I had here. The university is very disorganised and not particularly helpful. You are essentially paying £13k to teach yourself as there is so much prep but you may get the odd exemplar to help you out. No consistency at all. read full review
Admin and organisation needs some work. There are frequently mistakes and confusion in timetabling and assessments. It would be nice to know exam locations, and modules we are studying next term earlier and be given our timetable earlier. read full review

Everyone is very helpful and friendly and the teaching is generally good. The buildings are a bit old (bloomsbury campus. There is a great mix of ages and cultures in the student population. read full review
Excellent! I have really enjoyed my time at the University. Teachers and university staff have been very supportive and helpful. The university has great facilities and a strong employability service team. read full review
I have enjoyed my time so far. It has been challenging but very engaging and interesting. I look forward to attending my workshops every week, though the prep tasks can be time consuming. read full review
