Actually the location is the most attractive thing. And also the course, modules and the tutors also more supportive, it enables me to equip with academic skills and as well as the practical knowledge by opting Msc International Hospitality and Tourism Management at University of Portsmouth. As my point of view nothing for improvement maintain this quality of education. read full review
The lecturers are very supportive and helpful with queries, I am a distance learner and it’s great to know I have the support of the online Portsmouth community forums and chats to feel included. read full review
It is a great place to study because it offers a supportive learning environment, good facilities, and helpful academic staff, which help students stay focused and succeed. However, the experience could be improved by providing better access to study spaces, improved digital resources, and additional academic and wellbeing support. read full review
Incredible specialist professionals, great student support. Lectures in BaL who have a neverending depth of knowledge, who have been credited multiple times such as Prof. Trott and Simms, Dr. Ford. An overall great place to study with a city with such rich history read full review
Flat and clean city, lots of murals around which is nice, it makes me feel like artsy city. Trackable bus (on app) and they are usually on time. Because it located by the seaside so it's super windy most of the time. People are friendly including drivers I think! I don't notice reckless drivers around despite its traffic :) read full review
The best part would be engaging with students and helping them out from the students university support.

Worst part is that, everything is IT based, where I was not feeling well and submitted my assignment with 3 hours delay on the deadline date, but still my marks was capped. read full review

My worst aspect was having to locate buildings which are located in different locations. Initially I struggled but with the guidance of maps availed to me , I am now locating them with ease.
The student union fresher fares helped me to feel welcomed at the university. I was able to open a bank account to a guide on how to move around the campus as well as the city tour was provided. The Library is one of the best places I enjoyed. It's has a vast collection of books and reading literature, I have easy access to the libraries and i can access the laptops with ease. The system of Borrowing books from the library is user friendly.
Access to buildings is easy and they are maps and guidance on how to locate lecture rooms.
The University is a great place to study with friendly staff who are ready to assist. An induction to provide how to access service where provided. read full review
Best aspects are I get to study what I’m passionate about, worst part is the wind, the weather is sooo aggressive read full review

UNIVERSITY OF PORTSMOUTH

Manjusshri - December 2025

The best part of my university I loved is that our university library is open 24/7 along with a vending machine to stay awake at nights and complete our courseworks.
Initially I found it difficult to make friends. But the coursework and by working on library helped me to find few great friends.
It was honestly fun to work on course at library with friends for 24/7.
The other few things I like is the way my uni provide mental support, financial planning support, academic writing support.
I really appreciate the career support and guidance provided here.
I would like my uni to bring in more placements for my department - biotechnology. read full review
