Surrounded by the beautiful UEA broad and brutalist architecture, this is a striking university campus with plenty of space. It's also a short bus ride from the Norwich city centre, full of quirky and independent shops, cafes and restaurants. The I.T. is a little clunky but the services are mostly great: from the well-kitted Sportspark to the award-winning Sainsbury Centre to get your art fix. It's a casual and friendly university with, thankfully, little hierarchy: the Profs talk to students and more junior members of staff like actual humans. The Creative Writing course is steeped in history and focuses on finding your own joy and following your own curiosities. There are so many related events, groups and societies to get involved in, and these are publicised widely. You won't run out of things to do! read full review
The best experience have been the people and the student experience. The worst part is the communication from the different admin teams - for example, timetables are given at the last minute; the process for submitting assessments is unnecessarily complicated. read full review
Great campus - terrible food. read full review
The best part of my university experience has been the people I met and the opportunities to grow both academically and personally. The supportive learning environment, diverse student community, and opportunities to get involved beyond the classroom made my experience truly rewarding. I especially appreciated having access to staff who were approachable and willing to support students.

The main challenge was sometimes the administrative side of university life, particularly communication and response times, which could be improved to make the student experience smoother. Overall, though, my university experience has been incredibly valuable and has helped me become more confident, independent, and prepared for my future career. read full review
As an international student, campus support is very helpful and never made me feel out of place. The same can be said for the student body, everyone has been gracious and open-minded when interacting with me. The campus offers many things that can benefit new students, such as the Shop, SIZ, and many other third space areas. read full review
I chose Aberdeen because it offers a strong academic and research environment that aligns closely with my professional background and future goals. I also value Aberdeen's supportive student environment, its strong health research community and the opportunity to develop skills that I can eventually apply to public health challenges in Malawi and internationally.

I think Aberdeen already provides a very supportive environment for students, so I would not identify major gaps in the basic student experience. read full review
UEA seems like a great place to study because it combines strong academics — it's consistently ranked among the UK's top 25 universities and its research is highly regarded — with a really nice integrated campus in Norwich and student satisfaction that's clearly on the rise. That said, I think it could be improved by sorting out its financial troubles, since the job cuts and low staff morale can't be good for the overall student experience, and by making assessment and admissions processes clearer and more consistent.

Dreadful for student support for PhD students. This university is only for undergrads. read full review
