UNIVERSITY OF ESSEX
Overall Rating

the location of the university is the best, all the greenery around it is a real selling point, though it feels too big sometimes and confusing, took some time to figure my way around it. it is very student focused, in terms of support, keeping us updated and involving us in everything that is happening.

Student Union

Accommodation

they are what i asked for, ensuite private room. but they are a bit outdated, especially the bathrooms, they could use an upgrade. as for price, they are way too expensive compared to non-university accommodation. they are located on the very outskirts of the uni to be considered university halls, especially since there is a whole bridge and train railway separating the two, and although there are safety issues yet the security feels far (it could be that I just didn't see them when they could be around). WIFI can be a bit slow and sometimes doesn't work. as for property management they are great, quick to respond and help with issues.
