UNIVERSITY OF GREENWICH
Overall Rating

It has been hard settling in, I feel just thrown in and then just kind of left there. We have too many assignments in the first term, I would have preferred fewer assignments in order to settle in and then more work in 2nd term. I've only just received feedback for a formative assignment handed in beginning of october which meant I was clueless for the rest of the assignments, fortunately I've done well, but it was a concern for me and as I've been so ill and not at uni, I did think I wasn't going to get a good grade. The lecturers have been lovely when I've spoken to them face to face however for the most part I have questioned what I'm paying for

Student Union

honestly, pretty rubbish, Sparrows doesn't have the capacity to hold many, it plays all the old music, i suppose we're expected to travel into central for nights out but the effort not to mention the cost means many students don't do that, having a bigger SU would give the opportunity to meet more people because at the moment I don't feel I have met as many people as I could have. This is the reason I joined cheer, to be more social and active in uni life.

Clubs and Societies

Cheer and RAG does the Romania Challenge, both of these I love and am excited to be involved with during my university life.

Accommodation

My student accommodation has everything you need, however the location in relation to where I study isn't the best, but for London prices I suppose Avery Hill is cheaper

Uni Facilities

The library has barely any power sockets, I have no idea other than stockwell street where I could fill up a water bottle, there needs to be more seating in the library. However, the new library looks good. The rest of the facilities don't need improvement

Course and Lecturers

Relatively straightforward

City Life

Be a tourist during the week, central is painful during peak times, I do love London though

Job Prospects

Competitive but I won't be going straight into related job leaving uni, I want to travel first so will take a gap years or two doing that first, after I will be unlikely to move back to London, I will apply for jobs elsewhere

Student Support

Not aware

Having said what you have said would you recommend your uni?
