UNIVERSITY OF GREENWICH
Overall Rating

Love it. Absolutely love it. I love the atmosphere of the university that comes from the architecture. I love seeing film crews there. The only thing I wish could be better is the organisation of the faculties.

Student Union

It's really good there. There's not much I could fault about it, but their pool tables are a little warped in places making pool games not particularly fair, the majority of their cue sticks are broken (rubber base grip missing, bent, cue missing/falls off). And overall, for some reason that I can't explain, even though our SU is a really good place to be, it just doesn't seem to get a great amount of interest from the students at the University. It's pretty quiet a lot of the time unless there's an event taking place.

Clubs and Societies

Marketing Society, PR Fraternity, Economics & Business Society, Trading & Investment Society, Bright Futures, Snowsports Society, Climbing & Mountaineering Society, Jammin Society, Creative Film Society, Poker Society

Accommodation

Compared to where I'm living now, student accommodation was more expensive. However, I know that a lot of other students are paying more in their rented accommodation compared to their past student accommodation. That being said, it was pretty value, especially considering that the location was really good too.

Uni Facilities

I like the new library. I love the design of it. However (and a lot of students have agreed with me on this), there are not nearly enough computers in the new library compared to the old library, and a few of the printers have been known to malfunction, making it difficult to hand high-standard coursework in on time.

Course and Lecturers

My lecturer John Wilson

City Life

I just love to walk around the city, along the bridges, along Southbank and see all the sights. I especially love going to the Royal Parks. My favourite so far is Hyde Park closely followed by Greenwich Park.

Job Prospects

I think it'd be challenging definitely, but that's why I'm keeping my options open. I'm involved in the Business Planning Competition and also making a short film, both of which should be finished by summer next year. So as long as you achieve great results in anything you do, good things should come your way. And the university in particular really helps motivate people to achieve in this way.

Student Support

The employability office is the one I am aware of. It helps students with cv check ups and cover letters.

Having said what you have said would you recommend your uni?
