International Development Management MSc

UNIVERSITY OF WESTMINSTER, LONDON
Overall Rating

The strongest part of my experience at Westminster was the diversity of the student body. On my MSc in International Development Management, I was in seminars and career fairs with people from a dozen different countries, some with real field experience, and that made the discussions far richer than anything a textbook could offer. The teaching staff had genuine practitioner backgrounds rather than purely academic ones, so the theory was always tied back to how development work actually functions in the real world. The Marylebone Campus location was also a real advantage — being close to Westminster parliament, and policy events meant guest speakers and networking opportunities were easier to access.

As regards what could be improved, I’d have liked more structured career support tailored to international students and practical guidance on the UK job market, visa routes and employer connections. It would have made a big difference in the transition from study to work.
